The NUOENWEI Hose Retriever (HR) Hose is a high-performance, spiral-wound ducting solution engineered specifically as the operational component of automated Hose Retriever systems. It forms the critical link between ground-based Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) units and aircraft, delivering temperature-controlled air with maximum efficiency and reliability.
Constructed with triple-layer insulation, steel spiral reinforcement, and modular zipper/Velcro connections, this hose is built to withstand the rigorous demands of daily airport operations—offering exceptional flexibility, pressure resistance, and fire safety.
Supplied in standardized modular sections with industrial quick-connect features, the NUOENWEI HR Hose enables rapid on-site assembly, customizable total lengths, and easy maintenance—significantly reducing aircraft turnaround time and operational costs.
The NUOENWEI Hose Retriever Hose consists of three fabric layers securely connected by steel spiral reinforcement. The hose is constructed from a spiral-wound fabric tape joined by a specially engineered steel wire that is bent and clamped together with the fabric tape.
The steel spiral body does not cover PVC strips, with a spacing of 12 cm between spirals and a wire diameter of 5 mm.
Standard length: 7 meters, connected via industrial zipper and Velcro fasteners.
Termination: The hose end features a 14-inch to 8-inch reducer for connection to standard aircraft adapters.

1. Automation-Ready for HR Systems
Designed as the core moving component of Hose Retriever systems, enabling safe, hands-free deployment and retraction directly from PCA units. The hose is engineered to be deployed and retracted automatically, delivering cold or warm air from the PCA source directly to the aircraft interface.
2. Modular Zip & Velcro Connection
Industrial-grade zippers with Velcro seals allow for quick, tool-free assembly of hose sections. Standardized Start, Intermediate, and Final sections enable customizable total lengths and easy section replacement—drastically reducing downtime and maintenance costs compared to replacing an entire hose.
3. Superior Thermal Insulation
Triple-layer construction (PVC-coated polyester fabric / PE foam / PVC-coated polyester fabric) minimizes thermal loss, prevents condensation, and maintains air temperature from source to aircraft. The air trapped between layers provides significant additional insulation.
4. Exceptional Strength-to-Weight Ratio
High tensile strength (2700 N/5 cm) withstands pulling forces, while a low weight of 2.8 kg/m reduces load on the HR system for energy-efficient operation.
5. High Compression Ratio (1:9)
Can be compressed to one-ninth of its extended length, drastically saving storage space on mobile PCA trucks or within fixed HR housing.
6. Aviation-Safety Compliant
Meets stringent fire resistance standards (NFPA 701 and UL94 VTM-0) and operates reliably across a wide temperature range (-20°C to +70°C).
7. Mechanical Crimping – No Welding
Steel wire is mechanically crimped onto the fabric—no welding required. This results in maximum extension life and easier handling.
8. Reduced Friction on Wing Surfaces
Compared to PVC strips, the steel wire creates less friction on wing surfaces, minimizing wear and extending hose life.
1. Aircraft Ground Air Conditioning (PCA Systems)
Primary application for delivering preconditioned air to parked aircraft. The NUOENWEI HR Hose connects ground-based PCA units to aircraft cabins, ensuring comfortable cabin temperatures during boarding, deplaning, and ground turnaround.
2. Airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
Seamless integration into the fleet of support vehicles and fixed systems at airports. Compatible with automated Hose Retriever systems for efficient, labor-saving operations.
3. Maintenance Hangar Air Ventilation
Effective ducting for climate control within large hangar facilities, ensuring comfortable working conditions for maintenance crews.
4. Mobile and Fixed HVAC Ducting for Aviation
A reliable solution for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning needs in aviation environments—both on the tarmac and in hangar facilities.
5. Military and Commercial Aircraft Support
Engineered for both commercial and military aircraft ground air conditioning applications, meeting rigorous safety and performance standards.
